In this project, I created a visual identity highlighting prolific Chinese graphic designer Nod Young’s work. Best known for brand design in the consumer goods sector, he is an avid learner that constantly seeks out new experiences while embracing innovation and continuous evolution. I aimed to consolidate his diverse and large body of work into a visual language that spoke to his personality and philosophy.
This 16 page booklet highlights the philosophy and mindset that carries Nod Young through his life and his design practice.
In this animation, Nod explains the why and how behind the core philosophy that shapes his work.
Through this poster, I wanted to highlight Nod Young’s breadth of work while reflecting his design philosophy of “making the complex simple, making the simple attractive”.
